Woodstock 125
In 2026, we are marking 125 years since Woodstock officially became a city on July 1, 1901.
Anniversaries are an opportunity to reflect on our past, recognize our successes and look towards the future. Celebrating a city’s anniversary is an opportunity to foster community pride, reminisce and create connections.
We believe this makes a strong theme to anchor the 125th celebrations: Creating Connections. Staff and community partners are working to develop programs and initiatives that focus on:
- Creating connections between people and businesses within the community.
- Creating connections with place. We want people to feel connected to their community, their natural environment and their heritage. We want them to become invested in this place.
- Creating connections between the past, present and future.
We can’t wait to celebrate this significant milestone with you! Check back on this page for updates on special events, initiatives and ways to get involved throughout the year.
